Student Dress Code

In order to maintain an appropriate and focused educational environment for learning, the following dress code has been established for Valdosta City Schools. Students are expected to dress in a manner that is supportive of a positive learning environment and causes no distractions or disruptions. Students and parents share primary responsibility for student compliance with the dress code.

The administration of the school is charged with the enforcement of the student dress code. The principal is given autonomy in the determination of proper or improper dress. On a case-by-case basis, the principal may ban items that disrupt the learning environment.
