Schools wins NSPRA Website Award
Valdosta City
Schools won an honorable mention award for Web
Presence in the NSPRA's (National School Public
Relations Association) 2008 Publications and
Electronic Media Contest.
There were 107 web
sites entered in the contest; four received
Awards of Excellence, eight received Awards of
Merit, and nine received Awards of Honorable
Mention. Valdosta City Schools was proud to be
one of those nine. Criteria for winning this
award was based on outstanding education
publications and electronic media programs -
radio/TV/cable, Internet web sites, slide
productions and videotape.
The contest was open
to all public and private schools or districts,
including special schools such as
vocational-technical institutes; regional or
county education service agencies; education
agencies; and private businesses serving as
partners with those organizations. Prizes were
awarded according to type of publication, type
and size of institution.
The Valdosta City
School System is proud to receive such an award
among so many entries across the country. A copy
