J. L. Lomax celebrates annual CRCT Pep
Rally
J. L. Lomax
Elementary celebrated its Annual CRCT Pep
Rally in April at the end of the CRCT. The
school celebrated the end of the test and
its success with the assistance of
105.3 DJ
"Big Nic" and DJ Jimmy along with DJ Mandy
of Valdosta State University.
All
students were invited to participate in the
"perfect attendance contest".
McKayla Sirmans a 2nd grade student in Mrs.
Amanda Harrell's class was the winner of the
contest. The contest was sponsored by Mr.
Donald Williams (100 Black Men of Valdosta).
He provided the deserving student with a
bicycle and helmet as an incentive for
having perfect attendance during the CRCT.
The bicycle
would be ridden through the school each
morning to remind the students to have
perfect attendance. Teacher, Melanie
Merritt test drove the bicycle for safety.
McKayla, was accompanied by the school's
Guidance Counselor, Jennifer Williams for a
picture after the celebration.
It was a
blast!
