Valdosta Middle School excels at Valdosta State University Mathematics Tournament

Our Teams that competed were: 

Sixth grade: Daniel Tefft, Taylor Ward, Jared Sirmans, Ty Haynes with Zachary Goddard and Benjamin Talor as alternates.  The Sixth Grade Team placed in the Top Five Winners’ Circle.  Among the Top Ten individual placement in sixth grade were Jared Sirmans and Taylor Ward.   

Seventh Grade: Hunter Pope, Amber Akers, Andrew Akers, Paul Yi with Tyler Fuks and Elizabeth Anne Wilson as alternates. Among the Seventh grade Winners’ Circle were Paul Yi and Amber Akers with Amber taking home a trophy for fifth place.

Eighth Grade:  Sunny Gupta, Joe Lin, Sara Hojjatie, and Brittney Harvey.

We are extremely proud of our math students for representing our school in the  competition against 20 schools from south Georgia area.
