APPLICATION PROCESS FOR TEACHERS
Application
for Employment for Teaching Positions
Thank you
for considering Valdosta City Schools as the place to make a difference in
the lives of young people. We are constantly searching for individuals
who want to work with students because they see the potential for success in
each one, and they want to be a part of something "good". We look
forward to working with you and hope you will strongly consider Valdosta
City Schools as you seek employment in the field of education.
Please
read the application process below carefully. Incomplete
applications will cause processing delays.

Successfully complete or exempt Praxis
I assessment. |

Successfully complete Praxis II
assessment. |

3. |
Complete the application process;
Applications should be submitted to the Personnel Office. There
are two ways you can complete an application: |

For applications accepted
year-round, you may print an
application and
three letters of reference. Submit your application to
the Personnel Office. |

You can view and apply for posted vacancies at
the
Valdosta City Schools Jobs Portal.
From there, you can complete an online application for the posted
position through the website. You will still need to submit to the Personnel
Office, a copy of teaching certificate, Praxis score report(s), official
college transcript(s), and
three letters of reference. |

Applicants are selected and contacted
by school administrators for interviews. |

5. |
Applications remain in the active file
for one year from the date of receipt. |
