Each year, we encourage participation in the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Poem/Poster Contest sponsored by the local MLK Commemoration Association. Students are asked to express their admiration and respect for Dr. King in original poetry and artwork. Poems should be one page or less and posters 22x28 or smaller, based on any aspect of the life and work of Dr. King. This contest is for students in grades Kindergarten through 12th.
All schools have MLK Poem/Poster Contest coordinators. Interested students should turn their submissions into their front office or school coordinator by November 21.
