Pinevale Elementary Shares November Accomplishments

Pinevale held its monthly "I Lead" day where they learned from two very knowledgeable instructional leaders. Ms. Melinda Pellow led a great session on co-teaching and Dr. Vickie Peterson provided insight on using technology to communicate with ESOL students and their families.  Participants and presenters earned digital badges for these important "I Lead" sessions.

Thank you to the Tau Delta Delta and Alpha Gamma Gamma Chapters of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. for volunteering at the monthly PBIS Celebration.

Pinevale Tigers showed up and showed out at the Girls on the Run (GOTR) 5k! Much gratitude and appreciation to all parents, guardians, and supporters of the Pinevale GOTR who came out and cheered our runners along!! This was a great way to end the fall season!

Mrs. Knight’s 2nd grade class sorted snacks into ones (marshmallows), tens (candy sticks), and flats (Golden Grahams) from their remix packs. Next, they created three-digit addition problems to solve with their "base ten blocks".  Students had to demonstrate regrouping with addition using the manipulatives provided. Just a new spin on a 2nd-grade math standard.

Everyone at Pinevale enjoyed the busy month of November.
