By helping foster student passion for music, we are able to introduce the intensity of Takis flavors and at the same time help spark the intensity that students have for the arts.” –Araceli Gomez, Global Marketing Manager
During the 25-city Festival Tour, High School Nation will take over football stadiums on each of the campuses and present a 2-hour concert and festival that will celebrate the arts in public schools. Along with a strong showcase for music appreciation, the festival will highlight journalism, film, fine arts, fashion, photography, and dance. Students will visit interactive zones from the Sony Media Zone, Guitar Center Music Zone, Michael’s Art Zone, and Tilly’s Style Zone. Each school will receive a donation package from High School Nation, totaling over ten thousand ($10,000.00) per campus.
HSN will ascend on the campus of Valdosta High School on Wednesday, October 14th on the band practice field and utilize various other locations on campus for fine arts zones. VHS students will participate in this up close and personal training as they visit zones and expand their knowledge of arts in education. The event will conclude with a concert for VHS students featuring Drake Bell. The school will receive $10,000.00 of donated equipment and supplies for fine arts programs in the school. VHS will have increased security to insure the event is attended and enjoyed by only VHS students.
HSN Founders Jimmy Cantillon and Kevin Cantillon had this to say about the tour: “This Fall lineup is one of our best yet. The number of students that who experience their first live concert through HSN this Fall, and the great list of acts that get to be a part of that is something very special for us.” VHS, Principal, Dr. Janice Richardson announced, “We are excited to be able to provide this unique opportunity for our students and promote arts in education. This event is going to be educational and special for our students and the donations will continue to impact our student’s interests and expansions in our fine arts programs at VHS.”
About High School Nation:
