Valdosta High School hosts Miss VHS Scholarship Pageant

After four years VHS is bringing back the pageant with an added flair.
Seventeen contestants in grades 10 through 12 will compete for the crown and a $5,000 scholarship which was added this year. Three students from the freshman class will compete for the title of Miss Underclassman crown and up to $300 in cash and prizes.
The crowned Miss VHS will represent VHS in various events throughout the year and must complete these duties and appearances in order to obtain the scholarship monies. The pageant is also adding a talent portion for the top 10 and an onstage question for the top 5. All contestants will compete in interview, stage introduction, spirit wear and evening gown competitions which will be judged by judges from outside the Valdosta area with no connection to the school or contestants.
Come out for an entertaining evening of pageantry. Admission to the pageant is $5.00. There will also be a People’s Choice Award given to the girl who collects the most donations which goes toward the pageant production and prizes. Each contestant designed their own pageant donation box which will be available for attendees to make their selection for People’s Choice Award at the event.
