S.L. Mason Welcomes Jay Rome for GMAS Pep Rally

Rome stressed the importance of goal setting during his presentation.  He encouraged the students to dream big, but also the importance of reading to succeed.  Following his motivational talk with the students he read "The Magician's Hat" written by friend and fellow teammate, Malcolm Mitchell.  
 
The pep rally also included a fun game of "Are you Smarter than a Fifth Grader" emceed by Mr. Jarrod Grier.  Cheerleaders from Valdosta High School also participated to help encourage the students and gave the rally extra pep!  
 
The Georgia Milestones test will begin on Monday, April 18 for Valdosta City Schools' students in third through eighth grades.
