Randall Godfrey began the assembly by encouraging the students and expressing the importance of writing down goals they want to accomplish in life. Students with the highest number of AR points were recognized in each homeroom. From these students, two were chosen to take a limousine ride to Books-a-Million to shop followed by lunch at Zaxby’s. The top 10 point earners from each grade level were also recognized. The names of these children were put in a drawing and one student from each grade level won a Kindle Fire. One student from each grade level received a bicycle. The names for the bike drawing came from students who met their point goal and maintained an 85 or above average in AR. We are very proud of all the reading the students have done this year. We would like to thank Randall Godfrey for his words of encouragement, Harrington Funeral Home for providing the limousines, Zaxby’s for providing lunch, and all the help from the staff at Books-a-Million.
