VHS to Celebrate Homecoming Week

Dress Up Days are as follows:
Monday, October 3:  Welcome to the Emerald City, wear your green and bling!
Tuesday, October 4: Twister Tuesday, Wacky Day!
Wednesday, October 5: Which Witch is Which: Twin Day!
Thursday, October 6: Lions and Tigers and Bears...OH MY! Dress like an animal!
Friday, October 7: There's a STORM Coming - Show your Wildcat Pride!! Super Spirit Day!
Awards will be given out to the best dressed throughout the week at VHS during lunches.
Spirit Chain Links:
Spirit chain links will be sold during fifth period for $0.25 Monday through Thursday (October 3 - 6).  The fifth period class with the longest spirit chain will win a donut party.  Winner will be announced during the VHS Pep Rally.  The class (senior, junior, sophomore, freshmen) that purchases the most spirit chain links will also receive a banner for their float.
Talent Show:
Auditions for the VHS Talent Show will be October 4 immediately after school in Mr. Phillips' room.  The actual show will be October 6 at 3:00 pm in the VHS Performing Arts Center.
Food Drive:
Every day during first period, student council will come room to room at VHS to collect all foot items.  The first period class with the most donations will win a donut party.  
Door Decorating Contest:
Decorate your homeroom teacher's door and win donuts!!  Stick with the theme and be creative!  Winner will be announced during the VHS pep rally.  
Teacher Breakfast:
On Wednesday, October 5th starting at 6:45 a.m., Valdosta High School will be providing a celebration breakfast for all current and former faculty/staff in the Data Room at the high school.  We will be celebrating the incredible accomplishments of Valdosta High School.  Specifically, we will be highlighting the 900 wins and counting and all the educators that helped make winning possible.  We want as many former VHS educators present for this celebration of athletic and academic progress for the school. Each educator who served our students has impacted our success and we appreciate each of you! Please RSVP to by Friday, September 30th if you plan to join us. 
Homecoming Shirts:
Pre-order sales only, shirts will be $10 each and can be ordered in Mrs. Lewis' room (923).  Shirts will be delivered during advisement the week of Homecoming.  
Homecoming Parade:
Friday, October 7 at 3:30 pm, the parade route will begin at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium and travel north up Patterson Street.  
Homecoming Game:
Friday, October 7! Cat Walk begins at 6:30 pm and kick-off will be 8:00 pm.  The Valdosta Wildcats will host the Northside Warner Robins Eagles.  
Homecoming Dance:
Saturday, October 8 in the VHS gymnasium.  Dance will begin at 7:30 and end at 10:30.  Make sure you snap your favorite pic and choose our special VHS Homecoming Snapchat filter!  See the attachments for ticket sale info and dress code.  If you do not follow the dress code, you will not be allowed in the dance.  No exceptions and no refunds.
