Valdosta Wildcats Approved to Play in 2016 GEICO State Champions Bowl Series

The invitation was met with much excitement from Valdosta City Schools’ officials.  According to school board policy, the Valdosta Board of Education must vote to officially approve the trip.  The board will meet tonight at 7:00 pm for their regularly scheduled meeting where this trip will be discussed.

Pending board approval, the Valdosta Wildcats will play Chandler (Arizona) with a 9:30 pm kickoff.  The first game in the series will be St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) and Bingham (South Jordan, Utah) with a 6 pm kickoff.

School officials are working through the logistical details of the trip leading into tonight’s Board of Education meeting.
