Valdosta High School Senior wins Miss Georgia Teen USA 2017

Taylor enjoys poetry, modeling and dancing. She states that pink is her favorite color. She is a member of S.M.I.L.E., Poetic Magic, Youth Advisory Board, Upward Way Church and works as a Sales Associate at Old Navy. After high school graduation, this scholar has her sights on Spelman College. 

When asked what her goals were, as Miss Georgia Teen USA, she replied “the ultimate goal is to encourage and inspire as many people as possible, that way someone else may go on to touch the lives of others. I hope to spread love and the idea that everyone has the power to dream.” Taylor said that she was “amazed. God truly does answers prayers. I felt as if every experience in my life had prepared me for that moment,” when discussing her reactions to winning the title. 

Taylor’s motto is “Rock bottom means nothing to God, because God made the rock.” In the future, Taylor desires to work with TED, CNN, Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, Boys and Girls Club, Feeding America, American Cancer Society, Operation Smile for starters. 

Since winning Miss Georgia Teen USA, she has appeared in the Chic-Fil-A Bowl Parade and has a year of exciting activities ahead of her. In recent years past, the Miss Teen USA Pageant has been held in Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas. This has often been an exciting excursion for the 51 contestants from across the country.
