Upon entering the camp site, each camper was given a map directing him or her to several different stations. The activities included, family Bingo, scouting skills, recipe for reading, animal tracks, fishing hole, trading post, eating hot dogs and toasting marshmallows. When campers visited the station and completed the activity, they were given a letter to a code. Once they earned all the letters, they were to unscramble the letters to get the secret code, "BE BOLD SLM". Campers could use that code as a ticket to climb the rock wall. A huge thank you to the S.L. Mason PTO for sponsoring the event and to the teachers that helped run the many different stations. Another huge thank you to Zacadoos and the Valdosta Fire Department whose generous donations helped to make Camp Read-A-Lot a success.
Mrs. Cooper helps kindergartner, Nylah Stallworth, make animal tracks.
1st grader, Kelly McCall, cracked the code and gets to climb the rock wall.
5th graders enjoy toasting marshmallows and eating s'mores.
