The media center was filled with students curious about coding and robotic programming, while the art classroom captured students who were excited about printmaking. In addition, Sallas Mahone’s gymnasium permeated enthusiastic learners of students transitioning through hands-on science stations, mathematical challenges, and musical explorations.
The purpose of this event was to engage families in STEAM activities that would guide inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. Many parents received ideas that they could incorporate in their homes to make learning interesting and meaningful. A special thank you to parent volunteers, Hester & Morris and Valdosta State University for partnering with SME for such a successful evening!
