Valdosta High School Key Club Making a Difference

In October, the VHS Key Club collected change for UNICEF. They went trick-or-treating for spare change during Halloween season. In addition, they participated in Second Harvest’s make a difference day. Members helped to package and sort food into boxes that would go to help feed the needy.

In November, VHS Key Club celebrated Key Club Week from 11/6 - 11/10. During this week, members did various activities each day. On Monday, members wore their key club shirts and displayed their key club spirit. On Tuesday, the VHS key club members went to the school and handed out thank you notes and treats to janitors, counselors, and other school staff. On Wednesday, members created plans to help local charities. On Thursday, members filled strangers and friends hearts with happiness by doing random acts of kindness throughout the day. On Friday, members got together for a celebration of key club and successful week.

In December, VHS Key Club joined together to adopt a family for Christmas. Members brought in clothes and presents for a needy family. The members wrapped and packaged the gifts to be delivered to a deserving family.

In January, the VHS Key Club joined in on a day of fun and excitement at the Division Rally at the local Georgia Sheriffs Boys Ranch on January 20th. There, the club met with other local clubs and participated in team building activities and played color wars.
