The Valdosta City Schools Foundation was founded in 2000 with an initial donation from the Coca Cola Company. The Foundation is an independent, community based, non-profit organization dedicated to state-of-the-art education for all children and young people enrolled in Valdosta City Schools. The Foundation is responsible for reviewing all requests for financial assistance and recommending acceptance or rejection to the full Board of Trustees.
The Foundation will accept Project Funding Requests for projects, programs and specific opportunities that arise due to academic accomplishments within the school system. Requests should impact a broad range of students or groups who bring recognition to Valdosta City Schools through a variety of opportunities. Requests for extracurricular activities that presently have funding vehicles in place and/or programs that are presently receiving funding from the Valdosta Board of Education may not be considered.
