Valdosta City Schools adopts the Georgia Department of Education’s (GaDOE) Section 504 Resolution Agreement to resolve a United States Department of Education Office of Civil Rights (OCR) Complaint against the GaDOE. The Section 504 Resolution Agreement voluntarily submitted by GaDOE resolves the complaint and ensures compliance with Section 504 and Title II. This Section 504 Resolution Agreement requires all LEAs to adopt Georgia’s model Section 504 Rights and Procedural Safeguards; to provide Section 504 training to key administrators and critical staff prior to June 1 of each year; and to incorporate training on Section 504, Title II, and Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act in our district’s regularly scheduled annual in-service training.
