This morning, J.L. Lomax Route 4004 was struck from behind while stopped at a bus stop at Lausanne Drive and Troupe Street. Police and EMS responded to the scene, and an EMS supervisor confirmed there were no injuries.
Police are documenting student names and seat locations for the official report. Once complete, students will be transported to school. The bus sustained no damage and was cleared to continue its route.
To avoid any disruption, another bus is handling middle and high school routes.
