It takes all of us working together to keep children safe. Thank you to the Lowndes County Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) for joining our Student Support Services team this month to strengthen our shared commitment to protecting and supporting Valdosta City Schools students.
During the meeting, we discussed mandated reporting, what constitutes a report, how various school disciplines play a role in the reporting process, and reviewed several case scenarios. Together, we’re ensuring every child is seen, supported, and safe.
