On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, Lila Whittaker had a front-row seat to leadership in action! She assisted Board Chair Kelisa Brown in calling the Valdosta Board of Education Work Session to order at S.L. Mason Elementary School.
This special moment gave Lila—and all of us—a reminder that leadership, responsibility, and community involvement start early. Watching students take part in the work that shapes their schools is exactly what this year’s theme, BelieVe in the V, is all about: believing in our Wildcats and the bright future they’re helping build.
Lila’s confident gavel strike is a symbol of student voice and engagement, and we’re proud to see our young Wildcats step into leadership roles within our school district.
