Ms. Greer with principal of SLM

On March 26, 2026, the halls of S.L. Mason Elementary were buzzing with inspiration, ambition, and the power of community! We were honored to host nearly 40 incredible local businesswomen, entrepreneurs, and community leaders for their 2nd Annual Momtrepreneur Career Event.

From the Library to the Gym, our 4th and 5th-grade students stepped into the roles of "investigators," using their event passports to learn about a world of possibilities.

They met with:

  • Creative Makers (Bakers, Nail Artists, and Jewelers)

  • Community Pillars (Police Officers, Fire Educators, and Council Members)

  • Industry Leaders (Real Estate Moguls, Health Professionals from SGMC, and Tech Experts)

  • Essential Trades (Home Depot pros and local artisans)

The goal was simple but powerful: If they can see it, they can be it. Watching our students engage with these "Momtrepreneurs" showed them that success comes in many forms—and that many of those success stories start right here in our own community. A huge thank you to all the women who took time out of their busy schedules to pour into our future leaders, and a special shoutout to the staff who helped make this massive coordination a seamless success!

We would like to extend a special thanks to Ms. Greer who organized this incredible event for our students.
