Valdosta Wildcats athletic director Reginald Mitchell has been voted as the 2023 Region 1-7A Athletic Director of the Year by his peers.
This is the second time since 2017, the year Mitchell acquired the role as the VCS Athletics Director, that he has been selected to receive this special honor.
Coach Mitchell is a 1991 graduate of Valdosta High School and is a two-time state champion football player. He has been in education for nearly three decades serving at both high school and collegiate levels in coaching and academics.
When hired, Coach Mitchell said he wanted the Wildcats’ student athletes to learn how to be good people, good students and good athletes through our programs. For the past 6 years he has devoted his attention and efforts to see this through.
