Earlier this month, our Student Support Division meeting brought together school counselors, school nurses, and school social workers. We had the privilege of hearing from Dr. Lauren Whittaker, Director of GaMTSS, who shared how our roles connect within the Georgia Multi-Tiered System of Supports (GaMTSS) framework. She emphasized how each discipline contributes to the overall well-being of our students, strengthening our shared goal of maintaining a positive school climate and culture.
Following the division session, each discipline held individual staff meetings to discuss current trends, concerns, and needs. In recognition of Suicide Prevention Month, all disciplines proudly wore purple to show their support and raise awareness.
A special shout-out goes to our Student Support Services team for their hard work and dedication already this school year. We are grateful for all that you do!
