Valdosta City Schools proudly announces a four-year cohort graduation rate of 92.9% for the Class of 2025, reflecting a significant increase from last year’s rate of 86.8%. This milestone exceeds Georgia’s new all-time-high statewide average of 87.2%.
“This achievement is a direct reflection of the dedication of our students, families, and educators,” said Dr. Craig Lockhart, Superintendent of Valdosta City Schools. “To see such an impressive increase in just one year demonstrates the resilience of our Wildcat Nation and the unwavering commitment we have to ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed. We BelieVe in the future of our children, and today’s results affirm that belief.”
At Valdosta High School, Principal Dr. Johnnie Marshall praised the collective effort behind this accomplishment: “Graduating nearly 93% of our seniors is a tremendous success. It represents years of hard work, late nights, tutoring sessions, and the steadfast support of families, teachers, and staff. We are so proud of the Class of 2025 for setting the bar high and showing our community what is possible.”
