Ms. Chelsea Williams and Ms. Kimberly Christian from Valdosta Middle School were awarded United Way Classroom Support Grants this past month. Ms. Williams is a reading specialist and will use her funds to purchase resources that help students actively engage in reading. Ms. Christian is the Business and Finance teacher at VMS and is using her funds to purchase a program called Class Equity which helps teach financial literacy by creating a classroom economy where students can practice earning and spending. VMS would like to thank the United Way for their continued support of education in our community.
