Valdosta City Schools is excited to announce the upcoming STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Family Engagement Night on March 19th at 6:00 pm. The event will take place at Valdosta Middle School and promises an evening of interactive learning and fun for students and their families.

Highlights of the event include:

  • Interactive STEM Demonstrations and Challenges: Engage in captivating live science demonstrations and STEM challenges that showcase the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

  • Local STEM Industries: Connect with representatives from local STEM industries who will be present to share insights into their work, providing students with a glimpse into potential future career paths.

  • VCS Clubs and Organizations: Discover the diverse range of clubs, organizations, and education programs available within Valdosta City Schools. Meet passionate students and advisors who are making a difference in the VCS community.

  • STEAM Art Competition: Students unleash their artistic talents in the STEAM Art Competition. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their creativity by integrating art into the realms of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Winners will take home awards at the conclusion of the night.

  • Virtual Reality / Drone / Robotics Demonstrations: Come try your hand at flying a drone, drive a robot remotely, or experience virtual reality!

  • Catered Refreshments: Enjoy a delightful evening with catered refreshments, providing a chance for families to mingle, share experiences, and foster a sense of community.
