FCA small group huddles are happening this Friday! Session B groups will meet in the gym at 8:00 am. Be sure to check the lists posted in your hallway and near the cafeteria to find your group.
Attention upcoming 7th and 8th graders interested in trying out for volleyball! Open court sessions will be held on April 22–23 in the VMS gym from 3:45–5:30 PM. This is a great opportunity to practice and prepare for tryouts! You must have a current/updated physical on file in order to participate.
Attention 8th Grade students who were given high school AVID Applications! Please complete and return them as soon as possible to Ms. N. Carter on the Connections hallway.
April is designated as the month of the Military Child. Let's show our support to our students that have parents in the military by wearing purple every Wednesday during the month of April.
Any 8th grade girls interested in playing softball for the high school next year, Tryouts will be held May 4-May 6, 4:00-5:30 at the VHS Softball Complex. You must have an updated physical and proper athletic attire.
6th and 7th grade girls interested in trying out for middle school basketball, open gym dates are May 5 & 7th, 5:30-7:30 at Newbern, and tryout dates are May 11th-May 14th, 3:45-6:00 at Newbern. Bring your physical and wear basketball shoes/shirt.
Any 8th grade girls interested in trying out for high school volleyball, open court will be held April 20-21, 3:45-5:30, and tryouts will be held May 11-14, 3:45-6:15 in the VHS gym. All athletes must have a current physical to participate. See the flyer on the 8th grade hallway and bottom floor of the STEM building and scan the QR code to register for tryouts.
PTO will host our Spring Sneaker Ball on Friday April 24, 6:00-8:00, in the gym. Put on your best outfit and pair it with your freshest sneakers! Tickets will be available to purchase at the door. You must have a VMS ID to attend.
This Friday, T’s Treats will be on campus and you will have the opportunity to buy Italian Ice. The cost is $5 cash only.
This Friday, during your connections, we will have an outside funday. Connections teachers will have different options of activities to choose from. Concessions will be sold at this event.
Next week we will begin Georgia Milestones Testing. It is very important that you are here each day. We want to remind you just how capable you are. You’ve worked hard all year—now it’s your time to shine. Get a good night’s rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and come on time ready to show what you know. Please know that your teachers and staff are cheering you on and are behind you 100%. We’re proud of your hard work and we believe in you.
