There will be a meeting of the Valdosta Board of Education's Facilities Committee on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 12:30 pm in the boardroom of the Superintendent's Office located at 1204 Williams Street. Committee members are Mrs. Brittney Coons-Long, Mr. Warren Lee, Dr. Tad Moseley and Mr. Trey Sherwood.
This meeting will be live streamed through the Valdosta City Schools Facebook page. Today's agenda can be seen here (https://bit.ly/3RBM11C).

Parents we are excited to bring back our popular event, Bring Your Parent to PE Week. This is a time that you can come and exercise and be engaged with your child as they learn about being healthy. You can come any day during your child's PE time. Classroom teachers will let you know what day and time their class goes to PE. We can't wait to see you. Make sure you dress for exercise and wear athletic shoes.

This school year we will be selling PBIS t-shirts for students to wear during our monthly PBIS Cat-A-Brations. These celebrations are rewards for students who have been exhibiting R.O.A.R. expectations throughout the month. Shirts are $10 each and we can only accept cash or check made payable to J.L. Lomax. The due date for all orders will be on or before September 7, 2022. This will ensure that we will have the shirts back and the students can wear them for the September Cat-A-Bration. As a reminder students should still wear black or khaki bottoms with their shirts. No ripped or frayed jeans or clothing are allowed.

Please join us at Texas Roadhouse for our first fundraiser night. Make sure to give the server your flyer or show it on your phone before you order to let them know that you’re with Lomax and we get credit. Please invite all of your friends, coworkers, and family to come as well. The more people that come the more they will donate back to the school.

A public hearing will be held Thursday, Sept 29, 2022, in the board room located at the Valdosta City Schools Board Office at 1204 Williams Street. The hearing will be from 12:00 to 1:00 PM and will allow public comment on the existing Internet Safety Policy and protection measures.

Tonight's game against the Cook County Hornets will be a blackout! Wildcat fans are encouraged to wear all black! #GoCats
