We celebrate Red Ribbon Week each year during the month of October which is also Bullying Prevention Month. It is our hope that we encourage our scholars to stand up to bullying and stay away from drugs and alcohol. This Friday, April 19 is the last day to order Field Day t-shirts. Shirts are $10 each for all sizes. Cash or money orders only. Multi-grades/PreK: Pink. Kindergarten: Orange 1st: Purple 2nd: Yellow 3rd: Blue 4th: Red 5th: Green Reminders: PreK-2nd Field Day: May 16 3rd-5th: May 17 We will have food trucks again this year. Scholars must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to go to the food trucks. You are welcome to eat on the patio or in the designated areas with your scholar. There will be a country store set up in the gym for scholars to purchase snacks. All classes will have a time to visit the store. They will not need a parent to purchase during that time. Scholars who are participating in the water area must have a change of clothes and a towel. Water shoes/flip flops are recommended for this area. Just like last year there won't be any classroom visits allowed. Look for more information to come home as we get closer to field day. April is the month of the Military Child. We will observe Purple Up! Day on Monday, April 15 to show our support for all of our scholars who are military children. Everyone is encouraged to wear a purple shirt. Scholars are to wear a purple shirt with their uniform bottom. No jeans or sweatpants. Again, scholars are not to wear jeans or sweatpants as uniform bottoms. Abril es el mes del Niño Militar. ¡Observaremos Purple Up! Looks like we're getting ready for Field Day at The Max. This year we're doing something a little different so please be sure to read the entire caption so that you will be well informed. Your scholar should have brought home an order form on yesterday. **There are no colors on the order form.** You will just put your scholar's size and yours if you would like to order a shirt. **Once all order forms and money are turned in by the deadline on April 19 there will be one scholar from each grade that will participate in the mystery drawing for which color each grade level will have. Once the color is determined that will be the color shirt ordered for your scholar. The scholars are already talking about all of the colors so you can't go wrong with any choice. Field days are as follows K-2 will be on May 16 and 3-5 will be on May 17. Parece que nos estamos preparando para el día de campo en The Max.
