Valdosta City Schools parent Jacinta Howell recently joined State School Superintendent Richard Woods in Atlanta for a meeting of his Parent Advisory Council, bringing a local parent perspective to discussions about improving education for Georgia students.
Howell attended alongside Nikki Rodgers of Lowndes County Schools. The two were photographed with Superintendent Woods during the gathering, which focused on collaboration and parent inclusion.
With Winnersville Week approaching, their work together offers a reminder of the shared commitment that connects our school communities. While the Valdosta High School Wildcats and Lowndes High School Vikings prepare to compete on the football field, these parents are working toward a common goal: helping students succeed.
Howell shared that their focus was on improving education for all Georgia students, especially those in Valdosta City Schools and Lowndes County Schools.
Valdosta City Schools thanks Howell for representing our families on State School Superintendent Richard Woods’ Parent Advisory Council and ensuring parent voices are part of the conversation.
