Today, we celebrated the Groundbreaking Ceremony for our new District Office, a project that represents growth, progress, and the future of education in Valdosta.
The program began with a warm welcome from Mrs. Jennifer Steedley, Director of Public Relations, followed by inspiring remarks from Superintendent Dr. Craig Lockhart on this historic occasion. Past superintendents and board members were recognized. Ms. Kelisa Brown, Chairwoman of the Valdosta Board of Education, introduced the Board, and Mr. Warren Lee shared heartfelt remarks on behalf of the Board. Closing words were offered by Mrs. Brittney Coons-Long from the VBOE Facilities Committee.
The ceremony concluded with the official groundbreaking, led by Superintendent Dr. Craig Lockhart, members of the Valdosta Board of Education, Assistant Superintendents, and Facilities Director Mrs. Kaci Nobles.
