Our recent Whole Board Training at J.L. Lomax Elementary School underscored the Valdosta Board of Education’s commitment to continuous improvement and student-centered decision-making. The Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council shared insight on recent policy changes and school-level topics, elevating student voice in the governance process.

Board members toured the campus to experience the newly installed Audio Enhancement system, designed to provide clearer instruction through teacher microphones—an important support for elementary learners and English learners.

The training also included sessions led by Georgia Leadership Associates, presentations from district leaders, and data updates to guide strategic planning district-wide. Together, this work reflects what it means to BelieVe in the V—intentional leadership focused on improving outcomes for every school.
