WGN Parents! We would love to see you at our Parent Night on Thursday, February 15th at 5 pm. Our workshop will be about K-5 testing. GMAS testing dates will be shared and dinner will be served. We look forward to seeing you there!!


Our first grade traveled to Destination Ag in Tifton on Friday. The students rotated through 3 sessions:
1. Free Time- students were able to learn through playing in the agriculture themed play area.
2. Career Egg-cellent Mathematicians- students learned about how farmers use math to get 1 dozen eggs of the same color.
3. Domestic vs. Wild- students learned about the different between domestic and wild animals.





Kona Ice will be coming to our school this Thursday, February 15th! Please send money with your student. Money will not be accepted in the front office on the day of the event.

Last night made our ❤️hearts❤️ smile! We had lots of dancing, snacks eaten, and time spent with the people we loved. The Valentine's Dance was a total success! #Valentines #dancing #nunnbetter

This week is National School Counseling Week. We can't let this week go by without honoring our AMAZING counselors, Dr. Morrow and Mrs. Barnes. The time and energy they spend investing into our students and faculty in unmatched. Thank you for all you do!

On Friday February 9th we encourage all of our school to wear a college or greek life tshirt to school. Our school is supporting our district's initiative of college and career readiness. We can't wait to see what college you represent!

❤️Valentine's Dance Reminder: Tickets will be $5 all of this week. Beginning next week on Monday February 5th tickets will be $6. And if you'd like to purchase a ticket at the door, they will be $7. You may purchase your tickets in the front office at any point. ❤️
Our Reading Bowl team competed against other Valdosta city schools this weekend. Our Nunn team came in 4th place! When these kids read some benefits of participation is: increased reading comprehension, increased standardized test scores, and improved academic achievement. Way to go students!

We had such a great time at BINGO for books last night! Each kid got to take home a book, parents took home resources, and we were all fed some yummy chili. Thank you to each one of you who joined us!










Thank you to Lowe's Valdosta for providing our school with puzzles. We were able to give every family at our parent night one to take home!

Beta Club is sponsoring a sock drive! If you'd like to support their efforts, please send in socks, gloves, mittens, scarves, or hats through the rest of January.

Mark your calendars for Thursday February 8th for our Father/Daugher, Mother/Son Valentine's Dance from 5:30-7:30. The tickets are officially on sale and may be purchased in the front office for $6 per person ahead of time or $7 at the door.
