Mrs. McCall’s gifted 1st graders have been working on a “Safari to Kenya” unit. They recently conducted research, created, and presented a slideshow on a chosen African animal. They also painted an African sunset on canvas. These students have worked hard and have done an awesome job!

5th Grade has been learning about Physical and Chemical Change in science class. Last week in STEM with Ms. DeWeese, students were able to complete and see a chemical change experiment!











🧪📚 FAMILY NIGHT: LITERACY & SCIENCE will be this Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 5 - 6 PM. We will have various activities that include robots, glow ink, interactive technology, VMS STEM information and more. We can't wait to see you there!🧪📚



Mrs. Brown's 1st grade class has been working on informational writing. These two scholars were able to take the information they researched and created a presentation on Cheetah's for their peers to learn and grow from. Way to go first grade!





Thank you to our Community Partner Park Avenue Church for providing prize bags for our 1st 9 weeks Honor Roll students! We had over 200 students who were recognized. 🏆

🦖🍁We celebrated Dinovember this week!! The wonderful library staff at South Georgia Regional Library partnered with us for an early literacy lesson with our 1st grade. We practiced our letters & sounds through engaging and meaningful activities. What an ENORMOUS amount of fun we had! 🍁🦖

It's that time again, we are in need of volunteers for another PBIS event. The event is a Sneaker Ball and we are in need of volunteers to run various stations throughout the day. If you can spare an hour or even all day on November 30th we would love to have you share some of your time with us. We will begin at 8 am and end around 1:30 p.m. Please contact Coach Harrell at ashley.harrell@gocats.org if you would like to volunteer.

We are asking for the following donations for our Fall Carnival if you are able:
Pre-K/K students: Baby items(bibs, onesies, socks, shampoo, lotions, pacifiers, toys, rattles, wipes, sippy cups, diapers, burp cloths)
1st & 2nd grade students: Relaxation items (candles, bath salts, room spray, sponges, nail clippers, nail files, polish, bath pillow, foot scrub)
3rd grade students: Kitchen items (dish towels, pot holders, utensils, cookie cutters, quick mixes, cookbooks, aprons, timer, Tupperware)
4th & 5th grade students: Craft items (crayons, pencils, rulers, coloring books, construction paper, art supplies, tape, glue, beads, markers, play dough)
Please turn in items by Noon, Wedmesday Nov. 1st. Thank you for all you do to support us!
