Students in Ms. Griffin’s homeroom received certificates and a small treat for completing 20 or more personalized lessons on I-Ready. Let’s congratulate them on being proactive and reaching their math goals.

A huge shout out to our CPIE partner Home Depot for helping us build our first Spooky Maze. Ms. Tabitha Breeden (Home Depot RDC) put us in touch with the store manager Mr. Ricky Martinez who supplied us with everything we needed.

We had some volunteers who donated their time to help us build it: Mr. Christopher Barnes, Mr. Devontae Lowe, Mr. Keith Gaitor, Mr. Jamaal Sermons, and Mr. Justin Sermons.

In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, on Wednesday, October 8th, please wear purple for PURPLE REIGN WEDNESDAY.

This week we said “see ya later” to someone many of us affectionately knew as Nurse Brandon. Although she transitioned from being WG Nunn’s nurse a few years ago to serving as a kindergarten paraprofessional and, most recently, as an office assistant, we always considered her our nurse until her very last day at Nunn.

We will miss her dearly, but we are so excited for her as she begins this new chapter—retirement! Now she can enjoy loving on her grandbabies full time.

Happy Retirement, Nurse Brandon! We love you! ❤️
