W.G. Nunn is excited to share photos from our January Attendance Incentive, led by Communities In Schools! Students earn chances to win by attending school and signing in each morning—the more days they attend, the more chances they get. Weekly drawings reward students while promoting positive attendance and celebrating commitment to being at school every day!

Just a reminder, the Girls on the Run Registration is currently open for the spring season.
If you would like to register or if you have questions, please plan to attend the Information meeting TODAY, Monday, January 26, 2026 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the ART ROOM.

This will be a brief 15-minute meeting to cover any and all questions you may or that your parents have.
If you are in an after school program, please let your teacher know so that you may have permission to come to this meeting at 5PM.

100 days of school are now behind us with only 80 more days to go! Here are some pictures of Mrs. Posey's class celebrating 100 days of kindergarten. Aren't they the cutest! 🥰💛🖤

Tunes for Tots will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Whitehead Auditorium in the VSU Fine Arts Building. This free, family-friendly event introduces children to the instruments of the orchestra through live demonstrations, performances by the South Georgia String Project, and a hands-on “Instrument Petting Zoo” where children can try instruments with guidance from Valdosta Symphony Orchestra musicians and VSU music students.

Admission is free, and children of all ages are welcome. The event is designed to be engaging, educational, and fun - any families attend year after year, and it has become a beloved community tradition.

Holiday Pajama Party and Movie this Thursday!

Madison Brown was caught reading her Tome Reading Bowl book on a kindle.

Please see the updated early dismissal times for next Friday, December 19th. Winter break is December 22 - January 2. Students will return to school on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Don't forget to come shop our Santa Shop this week from 7:00 - 1:00 at W.G. Nunn in room 28!

🎄 Monday – Elf Day Fun
We kicked off the week with cheer as students and staff dressed up as elves. The creativity, spirit, and laughter filled the halls and set a joyful tone for the days ahead.

Tuesday - It was flannel and fun, and we surely got it done (wear flannel or plaid)!

🍪 Wednesday – Sweet Cookie Treats
Midweek brought a delicious surprise! Our Sweet Cookie Treat Wednesday was a hit, adding a little extra sweetness to everyone’s day.

Thursday - We were cool, we were grand - we rocked that hat or headband!

📚 Friday – Book Buddies
We wrapped up the week with our Book Buddies activity. It was heartwarming to see students connect through reading, sharing stories, and building classroom relationships.
