Pre-K Spotlight: The students were introduced to a new 📕 book ,The Little Red Hen and were shown a loaf of bread. 🐔🍞 The children were asked have they ever made bread from a recipe? We informed the students that baking bread is a lot of work so the hen is asking her friends to help her. After the story, the students used heavy whipping cream, salt, and a container. We passed the container around so that everyone could have a chance to shake it. The students observed the butter going from a liquid to a solid. Each student was given a spoonful of butter to spread on their beard to taste during snack time.
The standard that was covered was "Listens and responds on topic to conversations and group discussions for an extended time. "
