This past Tuesday Night, we recognized two of our re-elected members and one newly elected member of the Valdosta Board of Education.
Serving in District 4 is our chair, Mrs. Tyra Howard. She was initially sworn in for District 4 in January 2018. Tonight is her final meeting for her first full term. In January 2024, she will take her oath again to begin her second 6 year term.
Serving in District 6 is Dr. Tad Moseley. Dr. Moseley was elected in November of 2015 filling an unexpired seat for two years. He went on to be elected again in 2017 for his first 6 year term. In January 2024, he will also begin his second full term on the Valdosta Board of Education.
Replacing retiring VBOE member Trey Sherwood in District 5 is Mr. Jason DeLoach. DeLoach was elected in November of this year and will be officially sworn in during our first regular meeting in January 2024.
Each of these elected officials are parents of students in Valdosta City Schools. Help us thank and congratulate our members who have been re-elected and welcome our newest member of the Valdosta Board of Education. We look forward to another 6 years of dedication, support and success for our district, staff, students and our community as a whole.
