Congratulations to Dr. LaConya McCrae for receiving a National Life Group LifeChanger of the Year Award!
Dr. McCrae's career in education spans 25 years and various roles, including her current role as K-5 induction support specialist at Valdosta City Schools. She works closely with administrators and mentor teachers across the district to help develop new educators.
Dr. McCrae actively forges partnerships to benefit students, such as providing brand-new shoes for perfect attendance and organizing car giveaways to fund essential student resources. When she served as an elementary school principal, her initiatives allowed her to transform her school into a 1-to-1 learning environment, ensuring every student had access to a Chromebook to aid their education.
The award was presented to her today by Renee Crane and Craig Young of ValuTeachers, Inc. She received a $3,000 prize, which was awarded as a $1,500 individual prize and a $1,500 donation to her school. Dr. McCrae was selected for this honor from more than 620 nominations for K-12 teachers and school employees nationwide. Please help us congratulate her for earning this prestigious award!
