Administration of both Valdosta High School and Valdosta City Schools are aware of discussions regarding a potential student walkout.
We recognize that students may have strong feelings about current events; however, safety is the foundation of all that we do in Valdosta City Schools. For this reason, walkouts cannot be permitted on campus.
Students who leave class without authorization will be subject to consequences as outlined in the Code of Student Conduct. Unsupervised movement on or off campus presents safety concerns, and this decision is made to protect our school community.
