The Valdosta City Schools Foundation made good on its promise as Ms. Morris’ 5th grade class at Sallas Mahone Elementary School enjoyed a well-earned pizza party. The class was one of three across the district to sell at least 25 tickets for the annual Feeling Lucky in Winnersville Raffle.
A special recognition goes to Sarahi R., who sold 26 tickets and helped her entire class earn the celebration.
VCS Foundation Executive Director Jennifer Steedley delivered pizza, popsicles, and drinks to the students. The visit coincided perfectly with the school’s annual Field Day, making for an extra special afternoon.
All three winning classrooms were from Sallas Mahone Elementary School. In addition to Ms. Morris’ class, Mrs. Brantley’s Kindergarten class and Ms. Lorincz’s first grade class also earned celebrations. Their parties will be held after Spring Break.
The VCS Foundation extends its appreciation to Sallas Mahone Elementary School Principal Mr. Hart and the entire staff for their leadership and support in helping raise funds that benefit classroom grants, school initiatives, and student and staff scholarships.
Events like this highlight the impact of community support and student involvement in Foundation fundraising efforts.
