On September 2, 2026, Valdosta City Schools welcomed leaders from the Georgia Department of Education’s Office of School and District Improvement and Coastal Plains RESA for collaborative instructional walkthroughs at W.G. Nunn Elementary School.
For the past three years, our district has worked alongside these valued partners to strengthen leadership, enhance instructional practices, and build effective systems that support continuous school improvement. Through instructional walkthroughs, professional learning, meaningful feedback, and ongoing collaboration, we are collectively building the capacity of our school leaders and instructional staff—all with one important goal in mind: improving outcomes and opportunities for every student.
We would also like to recognize Dr. Terrie Lockhart, Director of School Improvement & Accountability for her diligent efforts, leadership, and continued commitment to making this work possible. Dr. Lockhart’s coordination and dedication to strengthening instructional practices across our district have played an important role in fostering these valuable partnerships and opportunities for growth.
It truly takes a village! We are grateful for partnerships that bring together expertise, shared commitment, and a common vision for excellence in improving student achievement.
Together, we continue moving forward The 3V Way—Vision, Values, Victory!
