Valdosta City Schools is proud to recognize Mrs. Shannon Thomas, Warehouse Manager for School Nutrition, as our September 3V Champion of the Month.
Mrs. Thomas helps make sure schools have the food products and supplies they need to serve students each day. When a truck needs repairs, a driver is absent, or a freezer or storage issue arises, she steps in and finds a way forward. As her nominator, Chef Hayes, put it: “She will find a way!”
She also looks ahead. Mrs. Thomas attends nutrition education events and expos, then brings new ideas back to Valdosta City Schools to help improve service for our students. Her energy, commitment, and willingness to help wherever she is needed make her an essential part of the School Nutrition team.
“Mrs. Thomas goes above and beyond,” Chef Hayes shared. “We are very fortunate to have Mrs. Thomas on our team. She is a true Champion!”
