For 30 days, the VCS Foundation has shared the stories behind the giving.
Teachers with ideas. Students experiencing opportunities beyond the classroom. Scholarship recipients pursuing their dreams. Employees continuing their education. Graduates carrying what began in Valdosta City Schools into their next chapters.
Now, as the BelieVe. GiVe. NeVer Quit. Employee Giving Campaign reaches its absolute final hours, the numbers are telling an incredible story of their own.
A Record-Breaking Year
As of lunchtime Thursday, VCS employees have committed:
💛 378 monthly donors pledging $3,470 each month
🖤 104 one-time donors pledging $4,165
Together, those commitments represent: $45,805 in annual pledged employee support
Last year's campaign generated $34,095. This year's campaign has already exceeded that amount by $11,710, an increase of more than 34%.
The VCS Foundation has officially reached a new record for employee giving, and final commitments are still being counted.
Turning Increased Support Into Opportunities
Those additional dollars are already creating new opportunities.
Because of the increased support generated through this year's campaign, the VCS Foundation is adding four new $1,000 scholarships. Two additional scholarships will be available for VCS employees continuing their education and can be applied toward Spring 2027 tuition. Two additional scholarships will be added for graduating seniors. That's $4,000 in new scholarship opportunities.
Throughout this campaign, we've asked our VCS family to think not only about the stories we've shared, but also about the stories we haven't written yet. These four new scholarships represent four more opportunities for those stories to begin.
One Goal Remains
The VCS Foundation began this campaign with a goal of reaching 400 monthly employee donors.
We're now at: 378
Which means we need just: 22 MORE WILDCATS
A monthly pledge can begin at just $5, with the first deduction occurring on October 30, 2026.
Employees may also designate their gifts to the VCS Foundation or directly to a school, department, program, club or initiative that matters to them.
