Valdosta City Schools Earns Exemplary Governance Recognition for Third Consecutive YearValdosta City Schools has earned the Georgia School Boards Association’s 2026 Exemplary Governance Team Recognition, the highest level of achievement in GSBA’s Governance Team Recognition Program.
Even more impressive, this marks the third consecutive year our governance team has earned this distinction — 2024, 2025, and 2026.
This recognition reflects our Board of Education and Superintendent Dr. Craig Lockhart’s continued commitment to effective governance, transparency, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
