Today, WIN (Workforce Innovation Network) Academy celebrated its first career pathways and students with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony that put students at the center of it all!
This wasn't your typical ribbon cutting. WIN students took the lead, welcoming community and industry partners, sharing their experiences, and building valuable professional connections.
Our hospitality students gained hands-on experience planning and hosting the event, from decorations and food to overall coordination, while healthcare students connected directly with medical professionals to explore future career opportunities.
Events like this show the power of career-based learning! By connecting classroom experiences with real-world professionals, we're helping students build the confidence, skills, and relationships that will serve them well beyond graduation.
