NMS will begin GMAS testing tomorrow. Parents make sure that your child gets a good night's sleep. Please make sure that they arrive at school by 8:30 a.m. We will provide each student with breakfast. Encourage your child to take their time and give their best effort on the test.

Join us tonight for the NMS S.T.E.A.M Parent Night at the Newbern Middle School gym from 6-7 p.m. We have some fun, engaging activities planned for our students and parents. Refreshments will be served.

Congratulations to this month's Willie the Wildcat Winner, Royce Thomas, Principal of J.L. Newbern Middle School! During our monthly District Leadership Team meeting, Director of School Nutrition, Ms. Hayes, chose to pass on this award for Mr. Thomas's attentiveness, contribution to the discussion, and positive attitude during the session. NMS 1st 9 weeks report card were sent home today. Your child's report card can also be viewed on VCS Parent Portal. If you have any questions concerning your child's grades please contact the school at 229.333.8566.

Valdosta's allotment of tickets for the 2024 Winnersville Classic is officially sold out. Limited tickets are still available through Lowndes County Schools at the Lowndes Board of Education office. #GoCats

White Out this Friday for the Winnersville Classic! We're asking all Valdosta fans to show up in their white spirit wear to support the Wildcats in the Lowndes vs. Valdosta game this Friday, November 1, 2024. Kick off is at 8:00pm at Martin Staidum. #GoCats

Miss Kylie Beaty, J. L. Newbern 7th Grade Student, was invited to assist calling the October 22, 2024 Board Meeting to order. Superintendent Dr. Lockhart recognized her for being part of Newbern Innovative Cadets Empowerment Program (N.I.C.E.) and the NMS Dance Team. #The3VWay

Newbern Middle School is ready to welcome back our students. Newbern Middle School students should arrive at their bus stop before 9:15 a.m. Newbern Middle School will open this week at 9:30 a.m. Breakfast will be served daily until 10:30 a.m. Newbern Middle School Instructional Day this week will be from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Car riders should be picked up before 4 p.m. Buses will most likely be running late this week. Please extend grace to our VCS bus drivers as they navigate safely this week.
