W.G.Nunn 5th Grade students enjoyed themselves at the Turners Art Center, immersing themselves in R&B/Jazz melodies while exploring a diverse array of art illustrations.

For the month of March we are having a competition between grade levels on behavior. Last week Kindergarten won with the least amount of referrals. Each class was delivered a basketball goal to use for the week. Who will earn the goals for next week? 👀🏀

We were so delighted to welcome in the volunteers from the NCNW that came and read to our Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade classes today. It was great day to read a book together!

WG Nunn Book Fair will have a special opening THIS FRIDAY, March 15th for Parents to shop with their child. We will be open all next week March 18th-22nd daily from 7:15 AM-2:30 PM for all to shop. Make plans to come see us next week!

To kick off Read Across America Week, our 2nd and 5th graders participated in our Reading Buddies Day! Our students practiced their reading skills with another student from a different class. Lots of fun stories were read, great questions were asked and a fun time was had. #readacrossamerica











On Friday our school hosted a Jumprope for Heart event. Over the last 3 weeks our students have raised money to support the American Heart Association for kids with sick hearts. Way to go W.G. Nunn! 💰❤️#jumpropeforheart #nunnbetter

Today was a special day in our Media Center! Our 3rd grade classes had a visit from author Tiffany Kouadio. We created books of our own, played Black History trivia, and even practiced some affirmations. What a treat!
