On Friday, September 19th, we are thrilled to welcome the Valdosta High School Agriculture Class
for an AGtivity Day! 🎉 Our students will get to see farm animals up close and explore real farm equipment while learning
about the importance of agriculture in our community. Animals may include: Chickens, ducks, rabbits,
pigs, miniature dairy cows, and a dog who demonstrates herding in a safe and controlled setting.
A huge thank you to our partners at Valdosta High School for bringing this engaging and hands on
experience for our students! 💛
Parents, if your child does not have permission to participate, or if your child has any allergies
(animal, environmental, etc.) that we should be aware of, please notify your child’s teacher or the
school.

Join us tomorrow for our Annual Title I Meeting AND Parents are Teachers, Too!
Our Title I Meeting will be from 5:00-5:30 in the gym. We will watch Second and Third Grade students' chorus performance and then hear information about Title I. From there, we will go to the grade level hallways, where you will hear about what your child is learning and how you can help support learning at home.
We will have two sessions of Parents are Teachers, Too. The first is from 5:30-6:00 and the second is from 6:00-6:30.
We also have our PreK Parent Orientation at 4:00pm in the Media Center. PreK Parents: Come here about what your child is learning in PreK and how you can help at home!
If you have a student in Second or Third Grade who is participating in the chorus performance, please make sure they are in Mrs. Cooper's Music Classroom by 4:45.

NEXT Friday, August 29th, we will have an early dismissal due to VHS Homecoming. Please refer to the following dismissal times to know when to pick up or receive your child(ren):
Car Riders: PreK, K, 1, 2 @ 11:15AM; Grades 3-5 @ 11:30AM - Please display your printed car tags in your car window.
If you will be picking up your child in the car rider line this day and currently do not have a car rider tag, please request one early via our school website (Menu: Parents: Car Rider Tag Request).
Daycare: 11:30AM - Please contact your child's daycare to make sure they are picking up early. If not, make other arrangements.
VCS Buses: Approximately 12:30 PM - Bus riders will be released as buses arrive on campus. Please make sure someone is at home to receive children off the bus.
All orders and money are due Monday, August 18.
School is in full swing and our bus routes are running smoothly! Many are leaving at the same time or earlier than our car riders. If you would like to sign your child up for bus transportation, use the form below. (The Student ID Number is your child's lunch number.)
